Waves Rush In
OVERVIEW
Waves Rush In was created by talented singer-songwriter Sam Branson. Having always had a passion for music and song writing, Sam started ‘waves Rush In’ to channel his artistic energy, leading to his first EP release in Summer 2021, followed by a second EP in 2022 and finally his Debut Album ‘Under The Static’ in 2023.
Sam has a vast range of music, each song is emotive, inspired by life events and adventures. The music takes influence from nature, mother earth, death, love, loss and life experience.

Along with the release of Sam’s music for Waves Rush In, Sam requested an illustrated cover design for each track, overall album cover and brandmark to give his music a visual representation and brand identity.
After listening to each track, the collaboration between music and visuals began. Each song is illustrated to visually convey the lyrics and feel of the music. To create cohesion across the covers, the same simple linear illustration style was employed, as well as a calm but contrasting colour palette, reminiscent of warm sandy beaches - linking the theme of the ocean to the aesthetic.
Each cover design is broken down from a full illustration; to a circular design to an icon. These designs are used across music streaming platforms, animations, videos, printed on merch and feature across the website.
