OVERVIEW

From field to end product, HempCentral works across the entire value chain of the industrial hemp industry.

Initially focusing on the production of hemp hurd for hempcrete buildings, they aim to develop and produce a variety of high purity end products using all parts of the hemp stalk to be used as sustainable material for the construction industry. Based in Central Otago, New Zealand.

  • HempCentral required an entire brand identity rollout, including a brand mark, brand colours, fonts, website, social media plan and illustrated assets.

    Most importantly, the brand identity needed to clearly display the construction aspect of the company’s purpose. It was crucial the design was a shift away from any stereotypes associated with hemp (a very misunderstood crop) and gave new light to this amazing plant and its incredible sustainable properties available to the building industry.

    The brand mark also needed to reflect the history of the product; HempCentral’s processing machine is situated in a shed at the site of Queensberry, once part of Queensberry sheep station, which has historical farming significance to the area of Central Otago.
