Five Quarters
Rachel Roddy is an award-winning food writer and columnist in Guardian Feast - The Guardian’s weekly cookbook. Published in 2015, Rachel's first book Five Quarters charts a year in her small kitchen, shopping, cooking, eating and writing, capturing a uniquely domestic picture of life in Testaccio, the vibrant neighbourhood in the city of Rome.
Headline Publishing commissioned Ima Creative to create a range of illustrations for this re-issued black & white 2024 edition.

Ima Creative worked closely with Headline Publishing to ensure each illustration captured the tone of Rachel’s recipes and style of Italian cooking. Employing a pointillism method of illustration, each design featured key ingredients or elements to accompany the opening of every recipe chapter.
